Community Involvement

Our Charitable Partners

St. Felix Centre

In May 2021 we had the amazing opportunity to finally connect in person (from a safe distance) with the team at St. Felix Centre to drop off our “Spring Cleaning with Meaning” donations. With the help of our friend Marisa at Sock Footage we were able to collect just over 1000 lbs of clothing for donation to this remarkable organization who has been a rock for their community throughout this pandemic and who has continued to care for folks in downtown Toronto since the 1930s.

Ve'ahavta is a humanitarian organization dedicated to promoting positive change in the lives of people of all faiths and backgrounds who have been marginalized by poverty and hardship. Ve'ahavta mobilizes volunteers in meaningful, hands-on experiences to fulfill our collective responsibility to care for our neighbourhood.

In November of 2020, we were able to donate 1000 brand new Twoques along with hundreds of clothing items for men and women, outerwear, sleeping bags, masks, shoes and hygiene products to be distributed to folks living in poverty in Toronto.

Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre

In our inaugural season we had the goal of selling 250 Twoque hats. With tremendous support from the community we were able to double that goal and donate 500 winter hats to our partner Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre.

In August, we put out a call to our network about collecting items for donation. We were incredibly fortunate to hear from our shipping partner (Shipfusion) who were able to offer 200 backpacks that were looking for new homes. With tremendous help and support of a friend at the Toronto Catholic District School Board, we were able to coordinate with three high schools (Brebeuf College, Mary Ward CSS, and James Cardinal McGuigan CSS) and distribute the entire load of packs to go out to deserving students!
